Built in January 2010. 6 string Classic Model, with East Indian rosewood back and sides, Italian spruce top, curly Koa binding, checkered rosette and purfling, Brazilian rosewood bridge, ebony fingerboard with pau abalone dots, Spanish cedar neck with cittern style peghead, and 4:1 geared Peghed brand tuners.
Very slightly used - this instrument was originally purchased by someone who recently traded it in on a 5 string model. It is in virtually brand new condition (except that it has been played in a bit) with nary a scratch. It is very similar to the banjola played by Ron Block on Alison Krauss's latest cd - "Paper Airplane"
Customer Comments: "This is the most beautiful instrument I've ever owned. It took me the better part of the year to face the fact that I didn't have the time to invest in adapting to a six-string instrument and then to make the difficult decision to part with it."
